No one is denying that airlines are facing higher fuel costs. Nevertheless, are you satisfied with riding in smaller, cramped planes? Does your “carry-on sized” bag even fit in the carry-on compartment? Do you fit in the seat?
Obviously, the current trend being used for commercial flights is downsizing into more economical planes. The cost per mile per passenger is lower, and they are more frequently filled to capacity. The outcome is that airlines are making higher profits per subcontracted flight. Are they overlooking customer experience in the process?
Uncomfortable Territory
I recently sat next to a man who said one thing to me the entire flight, “Let’s just move this armrest out of the way.”
That was a statement, not a request for agreement. The flight was only one hour.
Have you ever experienced this situation? To be sure, it’s uncomfortable – regardless of what end of it you’re on. Regulations to limit “hidden fees, add-on charges, etc.” are now being considered. After reading that, I am finding it hard to feel a great deal of sympathy for the cost of airline fuel.
